Top 10 Most Instagrammable Places in Dubai

Dear readers,

(Save this post if you are planning to visit Dubai!)

As you might have seen on Instagram, I have been in Dubai for a short internship in plastic surgery.
I tried to vlog my whole experience in Dubai but since it will take a bit of time before the vlog is online, I thought it would be nice to show you some lovely Instagrammable places in Dubai!

When you plan to visit Dubai one day, you know where to go for beautiful pictures.
(Which has become a bit of my specialty since I started being active on Instagram ;p)

However, since I was there for an internship, I didn’t have the time to visit all the stunning places in Dubai, but I tried my best. 😉

  1. On top of the Burj Khalifa

Do you know why Burj Khalifa is considered one of the most instagrammable places in Dubai? It is because of the spectacular 360 views from the top of Burj Khalifa!

After arriving in Dubai, I couldn’t wait to visit Dubai’s most famous 2,716 feet high skyscraper. I wanted to marvel at the wonderful 163 floors high building up close, and that’s what I did!

Standing in front of Burj Khalifa, I looked up and saw the towering structure touching the sky. However, to experience the best views from Burj Khalifa, I went to the top of the building. You can also buy a ticket all the way to the top, but it is more expensive, and the view is good enough at levels 124-125. Both levels 124 and 125 have observation decks from where you can bask in the breathtaking views of the horizon. And level 125 provides perfect space decorated with Arabic mashrabiya art. The deck on this floor offers an incredible 360 view of Dubai. An ideal place to take Instagram-worthy shots!

I took this picture at level 124.

2) Angel Wings at the top of the Burj Khalifa

Angel wings at the top of the Burj Khalifa is one of my favorite Instagrammable places in Dubai. Colette Miller chose this spot to paint her infamous angel wings art on the glass panels of levels 124 and 125 of the Burj Khalifa. The beautifully painted contemporary art has added more beauty and value to this place.

The colors, the incredible backdrop, and the detail with which Colette has displayed her artwork, it blew me away. I couldn’t leave that place without taking some amazing and memorable angel photos displaying gorgeous wings behind my back.

3. Ain Dubai / Dubai Marina

Ain Dubai was recently opened on October 21. Located near Dubai Marina on Bluewaters Island, it is another hotspot that became one of my favorite Instagrammable places in Dubai. Ain Dubai in Arabic means “Dubai Eye.” As I was in Dubai, I decided to visit it, and I am glad that I did.

Ain Dubai is twice as large as the London Eye and the world’s tallest observation wheel at 820 feet in height. The gigantic Observation Wheel has three kinds of cabins “Observational”, “Social”, and “Private.” Those of you who would love to have a bird’s eye view of Dubai should give this 38 minutes luxurious ride a go. Whether you visit Dubai Marina’s stunning beaches or ride the Ain Dubai, I am sure you will have as much fun as I did at this place.

4. Burj Al Arab (and the Abra tour)

Burj Al Arab, also known as Tower of the Arabs,  is the icon of Dubai and a 7-star super luxurious hotel. The unique and awe-inspiring sail-shaped structure attracts many tourists to enjoy the sight or have a pleasing stay there. So, it won’t be wrong to call this place one of the most Instagrammable places in Dubai.

The super luxurious Burj Al Arab comes with a high price tag

What makes Burj al Arab to be a world famous 7-star Hotel is the extravagant construction, amazing hospitality, and its exclusive location. It offers lavish facilities to the guests such as exquisite spa on the 18th floor from where you can watch the Arabian Gulf, and dining at “Sal”, a beach restaurant. Their modern amenities include special duvets made of eiderdown, premium in-house florists, interior gilded with 24-carate gold, and artificial beach on the terrace.

All these ultra-luxuries come with a very high price tag. The rates of one night stay at Burj Al Arab depends on what suite you have booked. For instance, if you are staying in Deluxe Marine Suite, it will cost around $2,930 per night. Whereas Royal Suite at the 25th floor is the most expensive one at  $24,000 / night. The rates will climb higher with the extravagance of the suites. The rates can vary and if you are lucky you can avail the discount they offer sometimes. So, keep an eye out for discount codes if you plan to stay at Burj al Arab.

Abra Tours

At this place, you could go on an Abra tour (small boat ride). Abra tours offer magical Arabic boat rides to take in the stunning views of Burj Al Arab and the surrounding landscapes. You can book any of the three exclusive Abra tours.

Full Abra tours: $27 for adult and $13 for child

Burj View Abra tour: $13 for both adult/child

Private Abra Tour: $231 / hour (only for Hotel guests)

Unfortunately, at the end of September, the Abra tour for tourists was under maintenance. Therefore, I had to make do with staring at the Burj Al Arab in awe from afar and snap some photos with the legendary landmark of Dubai as a backdrop.

5) Palace Downtown

Palace Downtown is a luxurious 5-star Hotel of Dubai Downtown. It is situated in the middle of Downtown, near Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall. The thing that is most intriguing about this place is the aesthetically pleasing architecture. The Arabian Palace sprawled over the man-made lake and the pool lined by palm trees; this resort is undoubtedly one of the most Instagrammable places in Dubai.

How could I not go to this awe-inspiring destination in Dubai? I found this place to be the perfect blend of modern structures with a touch of Arabic architecture. The first sight of the wonderful six-story high Arabian Palace took my breath away. If you want to capture some beautiful shots with the palace as background, then the walkway in the center of the pool will be a great location to pose like a diva for a photoshoot.

6) Address Skyview Dubai + Celavi Dubai

There is no lack of Instagrammable places in Dubai. One such hotspot is the Address Skyview Dubai. It is situated in the center of Dubai Downtown, so you can see popular landmarks Burj Khalifa, The Dubai Fountain, Dubai Mall, and Emaar Square from the rooftop restaurant at level 54 of the Hotel. It is a grand Hotel where I celebrated my birthday weekend and had my Birthday dinner at Celavi Dubai, the Skybar and restaurant at the rooftop of Address Skyview.

And the pool deck at Celavi? It was a beautiful sight to behold with gorgeous city views. You can have sheesha in the pool lounge or take a lazy dip in the pool and enjoy the panoramic views of Burj Khalifa and Dubai Fountain. It is an ideal spot to capture unforgettable moments. I couldn’t have asked for a better birthday celebration.

7) Atlantis, the Palm

Atlantis, the Palm Island, is a popular destination that beckons a lot of tourists. It is another 5-star resort in Dubai with Arabic and modern architecture that will make your jaw drop with amazement. Atlantis Dubai offers top-notch dining experiences, luxurious hotel rooms with live views of 65,000 marine animals from the room’s aquarium, and the largest waterpark Atlantis Aquaventure. It sounds like a dream destination.

Also, you can take pictures in front of The Pointe, a waterfront spot across Atlantis the Palm. I wanted to visit the Palm island, but it was also so far from the hospital that it didn’t seem like a practical option. But I do have this tourist attraction on my bucket list of the most Instagrammable places in Dubai. That means I am going to visit this magical place in the future.

8) Dubai mall

Dubai Mall is located adjacent to Burj Khalifa. Titled as one of the largest shopping malls in the world, it has luxurious shops, restaurants and offers adventurous activities like an underwater zoo. Apart from shopping from high-end fashion brands like Bloomingdales and Versace, you can dine at outstanding restaurants. If you are visiting Dubai Mall with your family, there are plenty of family entertainment options for you to explore. You will find The Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo, Dubai Ice-rink, KidZania for kids’ entertainment, and a huge Cinema Complex.

Moreover, there is a spot in Dubai mall where visitors love taking photos, and that is the indoor fountain called “the Waterfall wall.” The fiberglass diving sculptures adorn the 24-meter high waterfall wall, and the sight is nothing short of mesmerizing. This particular spot is the reason why I added this place to my most Instagrammable places in Dubai list.

9) Desert

Are you up for an Arabian Escapade? If that’s a yes, then you will certainly love Dubai Desert Safari Adventures. Desert Dune Buggy rides, Camel riding, Horse riding, Falcon photography, Overnight Desert Safari, Evening desert safaris, and Quad Trekking. These are the must-do Safari activities you can experience.

However, the life of the Safari is the dance shows which you can enjoy while having a BBQ dinner. Find out the best deals and book sightseeing tours, luxury desert camping, or plenty of other exclusive Safari adventures and capture those moments in your camera.

I wanted to visit the desert. But unfortunately, in September, it is still quite hot in Dubai (around 40 degrees). I am not someone who can stand the heat for a very long time, so even though I really wanted to visit the desert, I had to skip that for this time and maybe plan a visit during winter!

10) The ‘Angel Wings’ at Downtown Dubai

Once I glimpsed at the iconic “Wings of Mexico Statue” at Dubai Downtown, I realized why it is one of the most hyped Instagrammable places in Dubai. The sheer magnificence of Jorge Marin’s Wings of Mexico sculpture is something to be marveled at. It is located in Burj Plaza by Emaar in Dubai Downtown. Every tourist is flocking to this place to take stunning photos and share them on social media.

Jorge Marin is a renowned Mexican Artist who created this masterpiece. The beautiful wings are sculpted on a metal frame with three steps. You are supposed to step up and stand in between the wings and pose for a photo. With the sight of Burj Khalifa in the background and the wings spreading behind your back, you can entrap the unforgettable experience in the camera and have an Instagram-worthy photo shoot.

Final Thoughts

Dubai is certainly the land of adventures and wonders. World’s tallest building, largest observation wheel, largest Shopping mall, 7-star luxury hotel, you name it, and you will find it in Dubai. The tourist attractions and endless entertainment in Dubai bring adventurers and vacationers to this city of dreams. Even though I have been to these amazingly beautiful Instagrammable places in Dubai, I have a lot more destinations to explore.

Did you add any of these destinations to your bucket list? Let me know!
