Magical wands do exist! Yes- a magical wand- that would work instantly and would make your life much easier. I am talking about […]
Dear readers/liefst lezers, I recently got some skincare products of Lesley-Ann Poppe. I should actually invest a little more in skin care because […]
I know I recently made a blog post featuring Goodiebox with a lot of products to help you prep your skin for summer.
However, I didn’t mention some very important products that I use on a daily basis which is the use of vitamin E and of course SPF for my skin!
I swear by using an SPF 50 cream on a daily basis and I really like this one below of B-protect Eau Thermale Avène. The cream isn’t tinted, however it doesn’t make my skin white after applying it which is a huge plus (number one thing I don’t like about creams with a high spf factor -_-).
This way I try to slow down the aging process of the skin: by not exposing my skin too much to the damaging UV-A rays of the sun.
Another thing I like to use are lip balms with SPF 20 factor of the Couvrance line of Eau Thermale Avène Couvrance. We tend to forget to take care of our lips but it is also very important! I also love the fact that these lip balms give nutrition and protection to your lips while still giving it a pop of color.
They have three different shades to chose from: bright pink, nude and bright red.
I didn’t talk yet about the importance of the use of vitamin E for the skin, right?
Vitamin E works as an antioxidant for the skin and can help in various kinds of cellular restoration from sun damage to healing support for scars and burns.
That is why I love to wear the radiance serum of Eau Thermale Avène, which contains vitamin E, before I wear my day cream.
And last but not least, I love to use a thermal water spray to give my skin some hydration during the day (especially on hot days!).
Sometimes I also like to use it as a setting spray after I applied my make up or after I shaved my legs.

I recently discovered this amazing new concept called Goodiebox. Who doesn’t love to receive birthday gifts? Well, I also totally love it and Goodiebox is such a great concept for all the beauty lovers that are reading my blog and following me on Instagram.
You receive one box every month filled with make up products, skincare products and hair products from BIG brands for only 19,95 euros while the products itself cost all together at least 65 euros!
Why I think this is an amazing concept:
- I love the fact that I receive a box with surprises every month (admit it: it’s extremely exciting to get surprises :p)
- I get a great deal since I pay at least 45 euros less than I would normally pay for beauty products.
- I always stay up to date with the best beauty products for the season.
I already received my Goodiebox for this month which is called ‘Sunny Side Up’. This Goodiebox contains all essential skincare products to prep yourself for summer!
What are these essential skincare products for summer?
Aftersun Sheet Mask – Masque Me Up (normal price: 6,5 euros)
After a full day in the sun, you should really treat your skin with this skin mask to give your skin some extra hydration and to reduce any redness.
I tried this skin mask as you can see on the picture (it looks very funny, doesn’t it? :p) and it really is very refreshing after being a whole day outside!
It’s also very easy to apply (you don’t need to mix anything and you just put it on) and to remove it’s simply just to take it off.
2. Make Up Remover Wipes – Seacret (normal price: 27 euros)
The Dead Sea is seen worldwide as the best natural source of minerals. These make up remover wipes cost around 27 euros in the stores (the Goodiebox is only 19,95 euros so this is a big win!) and there is a reason why: it contains the minerals of the Dead Sea, Vitamin E, Aloë Vera and cucumber.
This is definitely my favorite product in the Goodiebox! Simply because I wear make up everyday (I have such bad skin!) and make up remover is a must for me.
Knowing that you clean your face with minerals of the Dead Sea gives a luxury and nourishing feeling.
3. Ice Source Moisturizing Gel – Polaar (normal price: 35,95 euros)
Are you also a person that needs some cooling when there is a heat wave? You can cool your skin with this gel and you will feel instantly refreshed! It is also very good to hydrate your skin when it is hot.
4. The Ritual of Karma Foot Balm – Rituals (normal price: 10,90 euros)
Our feet have it a little harder in summer. We tend to walk barefoot at the beach for example and then our feet can use a little extra treatment. Wash and dry off your feet and after that you (or your boyfriend, haha) can massage your feet with this foot balm of Rituals.
5. Kueshi – Aloë Vera Gel (normal price: 15,99 euros)
A lot of people go on holiday in the summer and some people are because of that living a more adventurous life than normal. What can happen when you go on holiday? You are (sometimes) more active so there is a lot more risk to have injuries or wounds. Also, when you go on holiday to more exotic places, there is a higher chance to get bites of different kinds of insects.
That is where you could use this gel with Aloë Vera! It also helps with light burning of the skin and it restores the fluid balance.
6. Fulgent World – Cuticle Pusher
Actually this is NOT only a cuticle pusher since the other side is used to clean your nails. How handy is this?
I am very happy with this Goodiebox because in that way I have all the essential skin products at once for this season!
I would recommend this Goodiebox for all beauty lovers out there that love to stay up to date with the beauty trends AND who likes to make a good deal every month AND loooove surprises!
All these products are worth 81 euros and you only have to pay 19,95 euros to get ALL of these products send to your house! Order your Goodiebox here!
DISCLAIMER: I was compensated to write about Goodiebox, however I am always honest when I review and only promote products I genuinely like, use and believe in.
There is one area of fashion I am not so familiar with and that is festival fashion. I have to admit, I haven’t done a lot of festivals in my life yet and maybe that is why? I have been to Balaton Sound in Hungary once and last year I went a full weekend to Tomorrowland and that is about it… Oh yeah, ofcourse I went yesterday too to Tomorrowland otherwise I wouldn’t be writing this post.
Shop this look:
I always thought that festival fashion is quite different from my normal fashion style. Anyway, I am finally starting to find some good festival outfits that still suit my style perfectly! Like the outfit I wore yesterday to Tomorrowland for example.
I recently discovered the brand Nasty Gal and they have the most amazing festival fashion I have seen so far.
I wore a white lace 2 pieces set and a star necklace from -not suprisingly- Nasty Gal and some golden gladiator sandals I bought in Thailand (I am sorry, I can’t show you that… It was kinda hard to make a full body picture with so many people walking around, haha!).
Oh and you know, I really like festival hair and make up. It is soooo fun! I chose to wear my hair a little messy and wavy with a small braid but I also love these fun hairstyles with a lot of buns and braids. Not to forget to mention that I really love that glitter make up because where do you else find an occasion to wear these glitters on your face?? I did my make up entirely myself and followed the instructions of a nice Youtube video I found. I found the glitters at the nail section of the Dutch store Kruidvat but I am sure you can find some good glitters in any beauty store. Make sure you use some eyelashes glue to make the glitters stick well to your face because you don’t want to have a whole face covered in glitters where it shouldn’t be. :p I made that mistake so I need to redo my whole face again.
I didn’t copy the exact same look, but I got inspired from this. Watch this video yourself to get inspired for your next festival!
Anyway, I went with a good friend of mine to Tomorrowland and it was so fun! The mainstage was again in another theme as you can see on the pictures. Tomorrowland is one of the best festivals in the world handsdown, no wonder why the tickets are so hard to get. 😉
However, I didn’t implement the pictures of me and my friend because these pictures were taken by my phone and it is too bad quality to put in my blog. I should really get a better iPhone, I am still stuck with my iPhone 5s…:p
The people that know me personally probably know I am not the sportiest person out there.
Thanks to being blessed with a naturally skinny body and the ability to eat whatever I want (yes, also all crappy food full of sugar and fat) without gaining weight, I never really thought a lot about working out.
Ofcourse, having a more toned body is something that would be nice to have, but then again why bother, I thought. I just never wanted to put in the effort that was required to get it.
However, one of the biggest resolutions I made at New Year’s Eve was to break with my bad habit and start to exercising regularly and eat more healthy.
Unfortunately, I don’t follow up on most of these resolutions anymore now that February has started and I am quickly sliding back into the bad old habits.
This time however I want to change, in the end I don’t want to end up with a cardiovascular disease and it might not be a bad thing to see some abs when wearing a bikini. :p
Anyway, one big step forward towards me getting fit is to find some way of exercising I enjoy, which for me is hard to find.
I then got an invitation to try out waterbiking and it caught my interest. At least, it was worth the try.
I realized it would be something with cycling in water, however I didn’t really know how that would make it a lot more fun or how it would be a lot better than normal cycling.
The only thing I could think of was that it probably had to be a lot harder since now you had even more resistance and so you had to use more power. Even more tiring, oooh noooo…
Wednesday I visited one of the waterbike centres in Belgium to get a session on a waterbike. I went to the one in Schilde, but you also have a centre in Brasschaat.
Wednesday I eventually went to Schilde for my first appointment of waterbiking.
They also have a waterbike centre in Brasschaat, for those who are interested.
I directly got welcomed by a very friendly girl who explained to me how everything worked.
When she explained everything, she mentioned the word ‘relaxing’ a lot and I really didn’t get why she talked about that so much. I normally don’t associate exercising with relaxing.
This is how a waterbike looks like: a special shaped jacuzzi with a bike in it. Have a look at the television in front of the waterbike… So cozy!
Soon I got why waterbiking is a perfect combination of relaxing while also exercising, training your muscles and burning calories!
This is my real opinion (it is not because I am being sponsored or anything). I think it is one of the best inventions in workouts ever!
Normally when I have had a hard day, I would never think of doing a workout since then I just want to relax. However with waterbiking I could easily go by for a session after a heavy, tiring day.
BUT… WHY IS THIS SO AMAZING?
First of all, the waterbike is actually a combination of a jacuzzi and a hometrainer.
Before you start, you can chose between a lot of different bath oils with a scent for in the water.
This scent directly gives a very relaxing feeling and next to that the water covers your thighs and stops at belly button level and it bubbels like a jacuzzi.
You actually enjoy a nice jacuzzi while you are cycling.
You can choose out one of several bath oils and scents to put into the water. This really adds something extra to your cycling experience. 😉
Also, when you cycle you have the opportunity to watch television since there is a television right in front of you when you cycle. In that way you never get bored. This is probably also one of the reasons contributing to me not liking cycling or running, just because it is so boring. With having something nice to watch in the meantime, it is really fun!
You can chose to watch regular television but you can also chose for one of the programmes where they show you movements you can do with your body to make other parts of your body more toned next to your legs while you cycle. An ideal workout!
Me in front of the waterbike. You can see that my workout program is playing on the television. You can chose between watching regular television but you can also chose for the guided workout where you train other muscles next to the ones you use while cycling. That is what I did, since it is a little needed to tone down other areas too. And these blue shoes are really stylish, isn’t it??? :p
You are also able to chose between easy, medium and hard depending on how many calories you want to burn or on how hard you want to workout that day.
Next to that you also have the freedom to chose how long you want to waterbike.
For me it was 50 minutes and after being in (or on) the waterbike, I felt totally reborn and relaxed, while also being able to work on my body. It is really an ideal option for those that always see it as a burden to go exercising regularly because with this, you actually look forward to do it (and yes, even for a couch potato like me :p).
It is also ideal when you experience a lot of stress because exercising helps with releasing the stress hormones and the concept of waterbiking makes you completely ZEN.
It looks like I am in a bath but I am actually working out, how cool is that?
I think next time, I am going to try out the waterrun, which is the same concept as the waterbike but then running in water. I will keep you guys updated!
