I am still trying to vlog as much as possible and I am currently busy with the editing of the first vlogs. I have to admit I am a little scared to show you guys my real and less ‘perfect’ side but I am also very excited that my readers can finally get to know me!
Also, I am currently having a little holiday in Denmark which I will write and vlog more about.
Yellow is THE colour for spring/summer and I am quite sure this color suits everyone! You just have to make sure that you wear the type of yellow that suits your skin- and hair color.Β I am quite sure that you will fit this dress if you have a golden undertone in your hair and skin.
Oh, and a little floral print also never hurts anyone. π
You can buy this beautiful dress hereΒ and you can get 15% discount with the code ‘Q2kim15’. I am wearing size S.
Lately I have been seeing a lot more coloured lace fabric, or is that just me? Anyway, I have always loved lace in general. I don’t know if that is because I come from Belgium and lace has been born in the city of Bruges but I think it just has a feminine and soft touch.
It totally suits my clothing style… Add a little pastel colour to it and the look is complete!
Tell me, what do you think of this blue race romper? (I also am wearing a little cleavage for once haha, but it is still decent… I hope :p)
There is one area of fashion I am not so familiar with and that is festival fashion. I have to admit, I haven’t done a lot of festivals in my life yet and maybe that is why? I have been to Balaton Sound in Hungary once and last year I went a full weekend to Tomorrowland and that is about it… Oh yeah, ofcourse I went yesterday too to Tomorrowland otherwise I wouldn’t be writing this post.
Don’t mind the lady in the back, I was too lazy to photoshop the background… :p

I always thought that festival fashion is quite different from my normal fashion style. Anyway, I am finally starting to find some good festival outfits that still suit my style perfectly! Like the outfit I wore yesterday to Tomorrowland for example.
I recently discovered the brand Nasty Gal and they have the most amazing festival fashion I have seen so far.
I wore a white lace 2 pieces set and a star necklace from -not suprisingly- Nasty Gal and some golden gladiator sandals I bought in Thailand (I am sorry, I can’t show you that… It was kinda hard to make a full body picture with so many people walking around, haha!).
‘Live today, love tomorrow, unite forever’
Oh and you know, I really like festival hair and make up. It is soooo fun! I chose to wear my hair a little messy and wavy with a small braid but I also love these fun hairstyles with a lot of buns and braids. Not to forget to mention that I really love that glitter make up because where do you else find an occasion to wear these glitters on your face?? I did my make up entirely myself and followed the instructions of a nice Youtube video I found. I found the glitters at the nail section of the Dutch store Kruidvat but I am sure you can find some good glitters in any beauty store. Make sure you use some eyelashes glue to make the glitters stick well to your face because you don’t want to have a whole face covered in glitters where it shouldn’t be. :p I made that mistake so I need to redo my whole face again.
I didn’t copy the exact same look, but I got inspired from this. Watch this video yourself to get inspired for your next festival!
Anyway, I went with a good friend of mine to Tomorrowland and it was so fun! The mainstage was again in another theme as you can see on the pictures. Tomorrowland is one of the best festivals in the world handsdown, no wonder why the tickets are so hard to get. π
However, I didn’t implement the pictures of me and my friend because these pictures were taken by my phone and it is too bad quality to put in my blog. I should really get a better iPhone, I am still stuck with my iPhone 5s…:p
Look at that beautiful main stage! They always do such a good job at tomorrowland every year to make it look very impressive!
I think it doesn’t surprise you that I really love the colour pink. It is such a feminine and girly colour! Next to that, I always have been supporting ‘Think pink’, which is Belgian’s national breast cancer campaign. Ofcourse as a medical student I am very much behind this campaign, but not only that: breast cancer is quite common in my family.
It is known that 1/7 women in Belgium will get breast cancer in their life (the percentage differs from country to country but overall it is the most common female cancer!). That is quite a lot and that is why all women should support this.
For one day I decided to wear all pink and a pink ribbon from ‘Think pink’. The skirt is fromΒ chic affairΒ and I think it looks so lovely with these lace-up details (link to buy the skirt down below).
I am also wearing my Cult Gaia bamboo bag which I totally love! My family certainly doesn’t get why I love such a weird bag, but hey, this bag is just the IT bag of the season and just gives every outfit such an interesting detail.
The bag is very trendy in the United States but I feel like you don’t see it in Belgium that often. That is why I bring the trend to my home country. π
Floral dresses… I literally can’t get enough of this clothing piece in summer! I think I have like 10 floral dresses hanging in my closet.
Yet, I still succeed to buy more floral dresses every spring and summer season.
Floral summer dresses have something romantic, girly and sweet. For me, it is an ultimate musthave in your summer closet!
If you decide to buy a new floral dress this season, I am telling you: vintage floral prints is the way to go.
I know that my over the knee boots are falling off. Little mistake there, haha! Maybe I should start a trend of middle knee boots?
This dress with floral vintage print I am wearing is from Abercrombie & Fitch. I have always loved the look of their floral dresses and I think I have already 5 floral dresses of that brand in my closet… Obsessed? Uhm…
The right way to wear this dress of Abercrombie & Fitch. Why do I say that? You will read that further in this blogpost! π
There is one thing really really cool about this dress: you can wear it in 2 ways! Okay, I don’t really think that it is the intention of the brand to wear it in 2 ways, but I will tell you something.
When my dress arrived by post – because I always do online shopping – I directly tried it on. Unfortunately, I had quite a lot of troubles with getting it on the right way.
I didn’t find a way to tie the dress so that the part that had to be in the back could also be in the front (if you get what I mean :p). That is why I decided to wear the dress backwards.
A result of the first photoshooting where I wore the dress backwards. Do you think it is very obvious? :p
It sounds really stupid, I know, but I thought it also looked okay and good enough.
That is why I decided to do the OOTD photoshooting (OOTD = abbreviation for outfit of the day) and we shooted quite some pics. After that photoshooting, I suddenly found a way to wear the dress the right way.
I suddenly thought it might be a little weird to wear a dress backwards, no?
I mean as a fashion blogger making these fashion mistakes, I couldn’t do that… Or can I?
That is why I decided to do another shooting in the dress in the right way! :p
However, I actually think both ways look equally good. And actually it comes in quite handy: the ‘backwards’ way is good for when you want to look a little more decent because there is not a lot of cleavage showing and it is high up your neck. The normal way of wearing it shows quite some cleavage and might not be appropriate in some circumstances.
Personally, I think it is quite cool. You can buy the dress here, it is an ultimate must have in your summer closet and Abercrombie & Fitch always provides good quality!

Something that we probably don’t really think about quickly when it is sunny and warmer weather is to wear a summer dress with a pair of boots. It might seem a little contradictory since ofcourse you wear boots in winter and not in summer or late spring. However, over the knee boots are still hot for this season! I think combining a summer dress with over the knee boots gives a special look. It is something different than wearing it with sandals or ballet flats, don’t you think?
I atleast like the look of it and as long as the temperatures don’t get very hot (in terms of 28-35 degrees celcius), you can pull of the combination! Even when it is a little more chilly outside, you can pull over a nice cardigan over your dress and you are good to go!
Why not wear a floral summer dress with a pair of over the knee boots? Something different, right?Β
Finishing of the look with some sunglasses (so that we can stare at people without them noticing us :p) that are Ray ban Wayfarer inspired. I was always very much in love with the Ray Ban aviator and I have like 3 pairs of them in my closet, but I thought it was time for another model and I found it. The Wayfarer -or sunglasses that look like it- is also an ultimate classic under the sunglasses and you can never go wrong with this model, trust me.
Add some nice sunglasses like the Ray Ban Wayfarer (or inspired by it when you miss some cash :p) and you are good to go!
Not to forget my favourite bag of all time to combine it with: the black Liu Jo. Suits almost all my outfits and is small and practical to go around for a whole day.
But tell me, how do you combine your floral dresses?

Ruffles and pastels… Always trending in spring and summer and oh so pretty, soft and feminine. I always thought I didn’t look great in pastels but I think it is important to try out a lot of pastels and then you will always find some type of pastel that really suits you great!
I think you can say that the colour ‘lavender’ is the HOTTEST for the moment, so if that type of colour suits you, then I would definitely go for it.
I decided to wear a blue pastel coloured blouse when going on a restaurant with my boyfriend some time ago.
This top I was wearing is from Zara (unfortunately not available anymore but click at the link above to shop a very similar model) and I directly fell in love with it!
My boyfriend didn’t like the fact that the blouse makes your belly pop up sometimes but I think that pastel colours and ruffles look classy enough to counteract that fact. And hey, tops showing a subtle part of your belly is also totally in, right? π
And oh, for the girls that are also a member of the itty bitty titty community, I have some tip here for you. Did you know that wearing ruffles helps to make your boobs look bigger or hide the fact that they are small? Not that there is ANYTHING wrong with having small boobs, but if you don’t like it so much, then it wouldn’t hurt to wear a lot of tops with ruffles.
I also really like to wear white pants in spring and summer!
I think it gives a very neat and sophisticated look and it looks more classy than a pair of jeans. If you feel a little insecure about the size of your lower body, it might not be a good idea to wear white pants. It makes your bottom parts look a lot bigger than they actually are (unless that is what you want to obtain ofcourse!).
When I am wearing white pants, my mom really asks everytime if I gained some weight. And… that is never the case!
I don’t care so much but just know that it can have that effect.
Oh, and I love this beige Michael Kors bag! I think every girl should have an MK bag, no doubt about that. π This colour of handbag is perfect for summer and spring.
